
An honored Old Jerusalem family of distinguished Galician Torah Scholars from Nadvorna who became aligned with great rabbinical and Hasidic dynasties. An esteemed family of rabbis, chazanim and bakers with 22+ generations descendants from the famous Rabbi Samuel Eidels, known as the Maharsha (1555-1631).
R' Asher Anshil, was a man of his word, hence his nickname, Wahrman, later became his surname. R' Asher Anshil Wahrman was a great scholar and a merchant, a distinguished citizen in his land.
