Tzvi Hirsch Landau

But was also a grandson of Rabbi Yechezkel Halevi Landau, haNoda bYehuda
Through his son R Shmuel
Maybe LANDAU Herschel 1839 D 103 Samuel Perel

LANDAU Chaim Joachim 1843 M 55 M 20 Herszl Maryi Icyk single

As stated in the Krakow marriage record of his daughter, he died before November 3, 1843.

"since his grandson was named after him" - this is an assumption not a fact. He could have very well be named after his grandfather Shmuel Piller...(ML)
? Not sure what u mean the grandson was calles Tzvi as well, and (at least by ashkenazim) we neven give a name when there is a grandfather with the same name that is alive, even if you are naming him after another person.
