About Rabbi Salomon (Schlomo) (Zalman) Knöpfelmacher

Named in honor of his great-grandfather, Rabbi Zalman Spitz. Salamon Knopflmacher became a Rabbi in Holesov, Moravia. His death record refers to him as "Sella Knopfelmacher." He resided in household #22-23 in Holesov's Jewish quarter, which he shared with his parents and with his eldest brother, Jacob (1739-1798). The Knopflmacher Stammbaum refers to him as "the head of state [chief rabbi], our teacher, Rabbi Schlomo Zalman Knoepflmacher."

At least three times he was honored being head of the community : 1795/1799/1803 also being a council in several other years. See
