About Nissel Knöpfelmacher (née Knöpfelmacher)
Note added 5 May 2015 by descendant Robert Hanscom:
According to the Knopflmacher Family Stammbaum, Nissel was married to her uncle, Rabbi Moshe Leipnik (Moses Knopflmacher), "the brother of her father". Nissel was born about 1721 and died in Holesov about 1750. Through her mother, Isherl (Spitz) Knopflmacher, Nissel was a direct descendant of Rabbi Jehuda Loew (c.1522-1609), the legendary MaHaRal of Prague. It is therefore through Nissel (Knopflmacher) Knopflmacher that all Knopfelmacher descendants can claim the MaHaRal as their distant ancestor.
