Notes

From Ancestry.com - Roberts Family tree

Isaac Johnson wrote his will on 19 April 1814 in Jessamine County, Kentucky. In it he names wife Elizabeth (entire estate to her for lifetime then divided among children), and children: David, Isaac, James, Daniel, and John Johnston, Mary Hunt, Rebecca Bond, Elizabeth Underwood, Nancy Johnston, and Lida Overstreet.

From http://jesusinme.us/GENE/Gary-J-Gideon/GEDCOM/ChrisBond/fam366.html

Her marriage to William Bond was performed by the Rev. John Penny.

In the census of 1850, she states that she is 82 years old and was born in Virginia. By the 1860 Census, however, she was only 86. Either way, she was a remarkable woman.

She had six children by her first husband, William Marshall, and another six by her second husband, William Bond.
She was at least 42 at the time of her second marriage. Several of these children, including our ancestor, were born to her after the age of 50.

William Bond's wife Rebecca drew a pension for his service in the War of 1812.

A quilt her sister made her (which sister is unknown) was donated by the family to the Kentucky Historical Society in 1988.

BOND

Probably the first Bond to enter Anderson County, Kentucky was William Bond, who was born in Hanover County, Virginia, in 1720.  He was a Revolutionary War soldier for three years.  He enlisted in September 1777 in the First Virginia Regiment, and fought in several battles.  In about 1779 he married Frances Ballou.  They had four children: William Jr. married Rebecca Marshall, Anthony married Jane Bogges, James married Polley Griffey, and Sarah married James Arbuckle.

William Bond, Jr. and Rebecca Marshall had seven children.  Among the most well-known of these was perhaps Preston, who was a minister in local Methodist churches.

From WeRelate

It is believed Rebecca Johnson and Richard Menton Johnson were cousins. Richard Johnson was a hero at Tippecanoe and the Vice President of the United States under Van Buren. Those who knew her remember her claiming kinship to the Bledsoes, Broswells, and Chapmans, all of which were related to Richard M Johnson.
