After her father's death, her brother Robert was her guardian and paid forher schooling.</p>* After her marriage, she moved to Wilkes Co., North Carolina with other family members. In 1789, John Majors sued Robert Chandler claiming that Rebecca had not received her full inheritance from her father (WilkesCo., North Carolina Estate File, Joel Chandler), but Robert rejected the claim and noted that he had "deeded to John Majors more than 100 acres in Wilkes Co., gratis".In this law suit, she and husband John Majors are noted as boarded with Robert Chandler in 1771 in Henry Co., VA.
