Hugh Lawson’s will, September of 1764 and probated in November 1772 in Rowan County, NC, names:
- son Roger (who Worth Ray said married Hannah Thompson and came to Georgia)
- daughter Mary (who married General James White)
- son in law George Ewing (who married Catherine Lawson)
- son in law James Henderson (who married Violet Lawson)
- son in law High Barry (who married Cynthia Lawson)
- son in law Thomas Erwin (whose wife’s name has not been located)
Worth Ray also indicates a son, “Hugh Lawson, Jr., who came to Georgia.” We have not found him.
