In 1735 to 1740 Smallpox, Scarlet Fever & Diphtheria swept through New England. This may explain why several of his young children died in 1736.

A List of All Officers Elected by the General Assembly from the Organization of the Legislative Government of the Colony to 1800 includes a listing frpm May 1768 for Restcom Sanford from Tiverton. Is this This Restcome (he would be 64) or his son who would be 41? There is also a listing from Feb 1748. Same question.
Was he a justice? I have found loads of marriage records performed in Tiverton by Justice Rescom Sanford.
"Restcome Sanford served as Justice of the Peace and town clerk of Tiverton. His property was in the eastern part of Tiverton near the Dartmouth line." ~ Edith Holmes Williston
Was he married 3 time? There are references to Elizabeth and two different Contents. One is Content Manchester and one is Content Crandall. Confusion may be that Content Manchester was married first to Eber Crandall???? Yes that is the case. I have merged the two Contents into one person
