Wednesday evening at 5:30 at his late home in North Manchester occured the death of Rev. Joseph W. Taylor after an illness dating back to the 25th of last November.

He was the eldest son of Orlando E. and Margaret Dickey and was born in Fayette County Indiana January 19,1846.He was one of a family of three children,one brother and one sister having preceded him to the Unknown world.

November 6,1870 he was married to Louise Gill and to this union were born five sons, Marcus W., Charles M, Vinton V., Orlando E. and Clifton C. Taylor. There are two grandchildren Esther Charlene Taylor and Ernest T.Taylor,all of North Manchester.

The deceased joined the Regular Baptist church December 27,1866 and was a ordained minister of that faith January 19,1878. For many years he preached the faith in which he was such a firm believer and the citizens of Lafontain and other parts of the country have heard him for the past quarter of a century or more.

Funeral Saturday afternoon at ten o'clock at the United Brethern church. The services will be conducted by Re. Noah Ford, living East of Fairmount.Burial in Oak Lawn cemetery at North Manchester. Note: Vet 61-65
