About Rev. The Hon Douglas-Hamilton-Gordon
Reverend Hon. Douglas Hamilton-Gordon was born on 13 March 1824. He was the son of George Hamilton-Gordon, 4th Earl of Aberdeen and Harriet Douglas. He married Lady Ellen Susan Anne Douglas, daughter of George Sholto Douglas, 17th Earl of Morton and Frances Theodora Rose, on 15 July 1851 at St. James's Church, Piccadilly, London, EnglandG. He died on 6 December 1901 at age 77.
He graduated from Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.) He held the office of Chaplain-in-Ordinary to HM Queen Victoria. He held the office of Canon of Salisbury. He held the office of Honorary Chaplain to HM King Edward VII.
