Don’t confuse his family with that of Green Hill, Sr.
Page 292 Doc No. 333 - State of North Carolina to William Hill for Copy of Entry. State of North Carolina No. 2181. Land containing 2500 acres on a creek that empties into the River Obion on the North Side beginning on the upper line of an Entry No. 2160 on said creek and running up both south sides for complement observing the Act of Assembly in such case made and provided for running out lands to just and fair plans of such survey, etc. Dated 1784.
Grant 2180 obtained from TN Archives describes 2500 acres in reen County along Elk River. This is dated 1793.
Obtained at least 5 Land Grants in Weakley and Obion Counties, Tennessee.
William Hill assignee of the heirs of Isaac Hardy by virtue of Military Warrant No. 264 for One Thousand Ninety Seven acres enters the same in the 13th District in the 9th and 10th sections of the Sixth Range beginning at William E. Anderson east corner on the South West & C. for grantity. April 3, 1821.

MEMORIAL PHOTOS 0 FLOWERS 13 Moved to North Carolina a few years earlier than his father; owned a place on the Dan River, in what is now Rockingham County, called Popular Hill, where he died in 1792. He was a member of the Committee of Safety for the Salisbury District in 1775 (NC Colonial Records Vol. 10, page 215).
Served in the American Revolution.
Proven line in DAR. Info for birth & death have come from proven sources. My DAR application was approved on this line in 1976 the old fashion way. Great documentation. I also submitted a DAR supplemental on his wife which was approved in 1981.
