The Modesto Bee May 2-3, 1931 Rev. William Henry Pieper, 80 dies at home on Bodem Street Rev. William Henry Pieper, 80, a retired minister of the Evangical Church, died at his home at 431 Bodem Street on Tuesday. Rev. Mr. Pieper came to Modesto six years ago at which time he and his wife observed their 50th wedding anniversary. During his six years here, he filled pulpits in various Modesto churches. Besides his widow, Mrs. Margaret Pieper, he leaves the following children: Mrs. L.W. Grandt, Mrs. Paul S. Bomberger, of Modesto, Mrs. Paul Chenoweth of Oakland, William H. Pieper of Iowa, and Herman H. Pieper of Modesto. Funeral services will be held at the Sovern Funeral Home on Thursday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock, with Rev. Carmen E. Mell officiating. Interment will be in the Modesto Cemetery.
