Reverend Henry Goldsmith

"Born at Pallas... Died at Athlone at the end of May, 1768" . And Oliver Goldsmith wrote to Henry's son Henry on 7 June 1768 "condoling with him on the death of his father the Revd. Henry" - Sir Ernest Clarke, 'The family letters of Oliver Goldsmith; a paper read before the Bibliographical Society, October 15, 1917' (London: Blades, East & Blades, 1920). 'The early haunts of Oliver Goldsmith' states that Henry died in December 1768.
