Richard (Bottington) Botting [Convict "John Barry" 1819]

Richard BOTTING (aka Richard BOTTINGTON) was born c1799

He was convicted and sentenced to 7 years transportation.

Richard arrived in Sydney Cove on 26/9/1810 on "John Barry".

In 10/7/1821 he married Elizabeth BURNSIDES in Sydney, and after a week, she left him.

in 5/5/1826 he married Mary GORMAN in Sydney

On the 8/11/1826 he was convicted of bigamy (being married to both Elizabeth and Mary at the same time). His defence was that he thought Elizabeth had died.

Richard died sometime after 1846
