Robert Clair Hershberger

LANCASTER -- Robert Clair Hershberger, 79, of Lancaster, Ohio, passed away Thursday, April 29, 2010, at his home.

He was born in Holmes County on Dec. 23, 1930, to Venus and Ella Hershberger.

Surviving are his wife, Jan; daughters, Patricia (Tom) Jones, Janet Burris (Bruce Gerkin), Beth (John) Thompson and Peggy Hansel; sons, Robert Clair Jr. (Margo) Hershberger, William Allen (Mandie) Hershberger and Michael James (Nancy) Hershberger; 19 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; a sister, Evelyn (Roy) Schlabach; and a brother, Miller (Grace) Hershberger.

Preceded in death by daughters, Kathleen, Catherine and an infant daughter; three sisters and a brother.

There will be no services. Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home in Lancaster is assisting the family.
