Robert was the son and only known child of Robert Pearson Sr. and his wife Katrin (Catherine, etc.). He married first to Elizabeth Tindall on 25 Jul 1706. He married second to Mary Coar in 1722/23.

He is presumed to have been born and to have died in Nottingham Twp., old Burlington Co., NJ (now Hamilton Twp., Mercer Co.), where his parents resided at the time of his birth and where he resided at the time of making his will.

Robert had 18 children, whose birth dates are reported by genealogist Charles R. Hutchinson in his 1917/19 manuscript Pearson genealogy (at New Jersey Historical Society, Newark, and available on FHL microfilm).

  • 5. Rachel, born 3 Sep. 1714;
  • 6. Sarah, born 1 July 1716, married Andrew Reed;
  • 7. Thomas, born 25 June 1718, married Sarah Hoff;
  • 8. Isabel, born 5 Jan. 1720, died in infancy;
  • 9. John (twin), born 5 Feb. 1722*; and
  • 10. Anne [Ann] (twin), born 5 Feb. 1722,* married Benjamin Yard--linked below .

Children of his deceased daughter Catherine (Pearson) Parker who had moved to Virginia. An 1745 Frederick Co., VA. law suit against Duncan O'Quillion was filed by Richard Parker, assignee of Robert Pearson of Nottingham, Burlington Co., New Jersey.
