Oki Turner was very well known and loved in the Haenertsburg area. His aunt started Cheerio Gardens and he and his wife owned the popular Iron Crown Pub and Restaurant during the late 1980's to 1993

Oki (Robert) Turner (66) from Haenertsburg has died after being brutally attacked in his farmhouse. Oki Turner was very well known and loved in the Haenertsburg area.He and his wife owned the popular Iron Crown Pub and Restuarant during the late 1980's to 1993.

Robert Clifford (Oki) Turner (1968) It is with great sadness that I write to inform you of Oki Turner's passing on the 15th June 2017.

I believe he was a Solomon House boy, 1968. Oki became another victim of a brutal farm attack in Haenertsburg, and died of his injuries later. I have attached a photo of us, taken in 2001 on the occasion of the school's 100th anniversary, Oki is on the right of frame.

He was a gentle, caring soul, and is remembered with much love.
