Ronnie L. Chestnutt

Ronnie Lee Chestnutt, 79, of Nebo, died peacefully surrounded by his family at the home of his grandchildren’s, Brittany and her partner Nate on Tuesday, July 28, 2020.

Ronnie was born November 13, 1940 in Beardstown, the son of George Franklin and Martha Louise Johnson Chestnutt.

He married Brenda Ann Bradley on April 19, 1970 in Rushville and she preceded him in death on February 1, 2007.

Survivors include his children, Charla Weisenburger, Kristine Edwards, Floria Maday (Steve), Violette Davis, Ronnie Chestnutt, Jr., James Chestnutt & Christian Lipcamon (Paul); seventeen grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers and two sisters.

Mr. Chestnutt was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served his country from 1961-1964. Ronnie enjoyed fishing, camping and watching western movies. His true joy was found when he was spending time with his grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held 11:30 AM Monday, August 3, 2020 at Sager Funeral Home with burial at Beardstown City Cemetery. There will be no formal visitation.
