    • "Lawrence B. Mish, 87, of Buzzards Bay, died May 9, 2010 in the Tobey Hospital. He was the husband of Ina R. (Rude) Mish and the son of the late Bronislaw and Joanna (Michalek) Mish.
    • "He was born in Stamford, CT and lived in Norton, Bridgewater and East Orleans before moving to Buzzards Bay in 2007. Dr. Mish graduated from Stamford High School, the University of Connecticut at Storrs, class of 1950, and Harvard University.
    • "He was a Staff Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps and veteran of WWII, serving in the South Pacific.
    • "Dr. Mish is professor emeritus of Biology, Bridgewater State College. Previously he was a professor at Wheaton College.
    • "He is a founding member and Honorary Director of the South Shore Natural Science Center. He was active in the South Shore Science Fair and the State Science Fair. He was a member of the Harvard Club, the Orleans Coffee Club, the Orleans Garden Club and a 32-year member and past president of the Norton Singers.
