About Sadie Sherman
Sadie was one of the eight outgoing Greenberg sisters raised in Springfield, Illinois. She raised Max and Frances Betty in Springfield, and moved with her husband Issy to St. Louis where Frances attended Soldan H.S. At the time of her death, she lived at 221 Topton Way in Clayton.
Based on the many surviving photos, the Greenberg women liked to wear hats. It was expected for Jewish women to wear hats, especially at Synogogue. It was also fashionable at the time.
Sadie worked in the couture section of a St Louis Department Store after the depression.
