Bessie Goldblatt

Bess was one of the three eldest of the Greenberg sisters, often photographed with Ethel (who has her dark hair) and Sarah. She married Harry Goldblatt and lived "in the country in a nice white house" on Stonington, Illinois. Evelyn Erenske Stoll (b. 1916) recalls a sweet lady ("the darling of the family") who always served her grape juice on her childhood visits to her mom's country cousin. Young Mel Dubinsky enjoyed vacations with Aunt Bessie when Jack and Ethel were travelling.

Harry and Bess ran a dry goods store and had no children. Bess died young, without leaving children, and Harry remarried.

Her husband remarried after Bessie's death to Irna Simons of Lincoln. Harry is buried with Irna in Lincoln, IL.
