About Samuel Bullock, Sr.
trader, housewright, proprietor of saw mill. All these trades caused him to move quite a bit. Two of wife Anna's mother Ann's brother were imprisoned at the opening of Prince Phillip's War. Phillip ordered them set at liberty because their father Hugh Cole had been his friend. He sent word to Hugh that they should go to Rhode Island for safety, which they did. An hour after he left his house it was in flames. Mr. Cole was a sergeant in King Phillip's War.
Anna Salisbury's father William's brother were slain at Swansea (now Warren, RI) on June 24, 1675 by Indians who cut off their heads and terribly mutilated their bodies.
