Photograph to the right is that of S. Timothy Taylor with dates of 1862 to 1923. It does not have a month or day. Who does this stone belong to? Imler recorded S. Timothy Taylor 1862 -1923 with wife Alcinda 1851 -1930. Is this a replacement or recent stone for Samuel Timlow Taylor with the dates that Imler recorded? Samuel Timlow Taylor married to Alcinda Smith with a calculated birth date of 1852 would fit in with the dates of his young children Ray A. Taylor b. 1877 & Jordon H. Taylor b. 18 Jan. 1878. It would also fit in with his wife's birth date of Alcinda Smith born in 1851. Samuel Timlow Taylor's obituary states that he is in the Evangelical Cemetery. Findagrave has given this cemetery the name New Paris Community. Imler gave it the name of New Parris Cemetery Below Road. He copied this cemetery on 16 April 1969. The current book put out by the Bedford County Visitors Bureau "Bedford County Cemeteries" names it as the New Paris Methodist Cemetery. The early landowners map shows it as the Albright Evangelical Cemetery with a church & parsonage next to it. The white wooden building next to the cemetery is the original church.
