Samuel Wood, son of Henry Wood, is the 7th great grandfather of our Wood family through his son, Ephraim Wood, and 8th great uncle through Abigail Wood, daughter of Henry Wood, from the Cobb side of the family to Joanna Cobb.
Thomas Weston was in error when he said in History Of Middleboro Massachusetts, page 63, that Rebecca Tupper married Samuel Wood. She did not marry Samuel Wood. Samuel Wood married Rebecca Morton. Rebecca Tupper married Samuel's grand nephew, Lemuel Wood. Lemuel Wood and his wife can be found in History of Middleboro Massachusetts, page 667, entry number 553, and in the Daughters of the American Revolutionary War Linage Books.www.findagrave.com Actual Burial Site
