About Sarah Ann Baldwin
Sarah Baldwin, dau. of Benjamin Baldwin and Hannah Sargeant; m. with Robert Young, of Scotland. He was b. 1663 and (per Hist of Essex & Hudson Counties,New Jersey) was one of the Scotchmen welcomed by the town, with Clizbie and Nesbit. He was perhaps one of those given to Pilochie and Barclay and if not banished, a companion of the prisoners in 1685. They resided in Newark, Essex county. He was Sheriff in 1696, and a Trustee named in the grant from the Proprietors of New Jersey. with John Curtis, John Treat and Theoph. Pierson, to "hold the small tract allotted for the burying place," and for no other purpose forever. He d. Nov. 7, 1726, aged 63. By a permit from the successors of said property, a highway has desecrated his grave for 30 years.
Children were: David, John, Jonathan, Robert and Stephen.
