  • TO ALL TO WHOME these presents shall come, Know yee that I THOMAS GLASCOCK and SARAH my Wife of the Parish of FARNHAM and County of Richmond for a valuable consideration to me in hand paid do by these presents sell and for ever make over unto JOHN TARPLEY of the said Parish of FARNHAM and County of Richmond his heires or assignes all my right of a certaine parcell of Land given by Capt. ALEXANDR: NEWMAN in his Last Will and Testament unto my Sister, ANN GLASCOCK the late Wife of JOHN WILSON, being part of the Devidend where the said JOHN TARPLEY now lives containeing One hundred acres together with all rights and emoluments thereunto belonging to him the said JOHN TARPLEY his heires or assignes forever in as large and ample manner as can be granted by Deed, And I do also oblidge myselfe together with SARAH my Wife sufficiently to save harmless and keep indemnifyed the sd JOHN TARPLEY his heires or assignes from all manner of former sales and all other incumbrances and charges made by me the said THOMAS GLASCOCK or any other per- sons whatsoever, the said JOHN TARPLEY his heires or assignes paying the Rents and services therein due and of right accustomed according to the other parts of Virginia as is and hath been accustomed in such case, And I the said THOMAS GLASCOCK and SARAH my Wife my heires and every of them do promise that the said THOMAS GLASCOCK is lawfully seized of a good and pure Estate in the Law of fee simple without any conditions but that I may lawfully sell the same said Land and that they the said JOHN TARPLEY his heires shall att all times hereafter hold and enjoy the said Land and that I will warrant the said Land against all persons In Wittness whereof we the said THOMAS GLASCOCK and SARAH my Wife have sett our hands and fixed our seales this 24th day of July 1704
