About Sarah Etta Irwin

Sarah Etta White was born at Lebanon, Laclede Co., Missouri, April 17, 1882, and passed away about 1 a.m. October 30, 1929, at her home, 500 South Alabama Street, Wetumka, Oklahoma, age 47 years, 6 months and 13 days. In August 1902, she was united in marriage to Mr. Major C. Lewis, who passed away August 17, 1921. To this union was born three children, Ivan Lewis of Sioux City, Iowa; Eulis Lewis of Anthon, Iowa; the other having died in infancy. Mrs. Lewis was united in holy wedlock the second time to Mr. James Boyd Irwin, January 14, 1924. To this union was born one son, James Boyd Irwin, Jr., who is four years old. She accepted Christ as her Savior and united with the Abo Christian Church in August, 1922. She was a member of this church at the time of her decease. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved husband, James Boyd Irwin; her aged father, Mr. John F. White of Lebanon, Missouri; three sons, Ivan Lewis of Sioux City, Iowa; Eulis Lewis of Anthon, Iowa; and James Boyd Irwin, Jr., Wetumka, Oklahoma; two sisters, Mrs. Reva Rogers, Lebanon, Missouri; and Mrs. Ada Randolph, Drynob, Missouri; and one brother, Wilbern White, Anthon, Iowa, besides a host of other relatives and friends. The funeral services were conducted in her home on South Alabama Street at 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, October 30, A.H. Harris, Minister, Church of Christ, officiating.
