Urinda Rawson Child was born February 8, 1844, at Council Bluffs, Iowa. She married Orville R. Child of Ogdenburg, New York in Payson at the time of the south move. They finally left Utah and were among the early settlers of Fairview. After the death of her husband March 25, 1896, she succeeded in keeping the home together until all the children were married, when she spent her time with them.

She is survived by nine children seventy grandchildren, ninety-seven great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren who will hold the home in sacred remembrances, also a host of friends who admire her sterling qualities remember her acts of love and charity and may well emulate her noble example.

Interment was made in the Fairview cemetery where the body rests beside her devoted husband and other members of the family.
