About Sarah "Sally" Honor
Sarah Conklin was born 27 Feb 1815 in Loughborough Twp., Frontenac (now Ontario Co.), Ontario, Canada to Thomas Conklin and Fanny Lyon, originally of New York state.
She married Thomas Alfred Honor (Honner), who was born in Queen's Co., Ireland and immigrated to Canada. They had one son, William Birley Honor b. 1837 in Kingston, Frontenac, Ontario.
Sarah had married Mormon pioneer Josiah Boice (1802-1877) in abt. 1834 in Frontenac; and joined him on the trek westward accompanied by "one child." However, she turned back before he arrived in Nebraska.
She is found in Detroit, Michigan in the 1880 Census as "S. Honor," with William B. Honor's children. Many of the Honor/Honner family had, by that time, migrated to Amherstburg, Essex Co., Ontario across the Detroit River.
Sarah is found in the 1892-3 Ogden, Weber, Utah directory (as widow of Thomas.)
