"p. 227. Lease and Release. 5 and 7 April 1714. James Samuel, planter, and Sarah his wife of Essex Co., sell Paul Micou, Chirurgeon, of the same Co., 75 acres, for L20. Sterling, being 1/2 of a tract given by Warwick Gray in his last will to Sarah Samuel and William Gray to be equally divided between them, in St. Anns Par., on Rappa River, adjoining the land of Silvester Thacker. Signed James Samuel, the mark of Sarah Samuel. Wit: Wm Daingerfield, Leo Tarent. Rec. 7 April 1714"
