She was the daughter of John Holdaway and Amelia Eyles. Auckland, January 27. The many friends throughout the Colony of the Rev. Mr Simmonds, Principal of Three Kings Native Institution, will sympathise with him in the death of Mrs Simmonds, which occurred at her residence, Three Kings, yesterday. The deceased lady was very much respected. She took a deep interest in the work of the Native Institution, over which she and her husband have ably presided for several years. She leaves a family of four daughters and two sons.
