Richard Harrison II (1627-1686) was a son of Richard Harrison I. Married before 1645 to Sarah Hubbard (abt 1635-abt 1675). She was the daughter of George Hubbard & Mary Bishop.

He was the son of Richard HARRISON & Margaret PICKE & the husband of 2nd wife, Sarah HUBBARD.

Children: John, Joseph,Samuel, Benjamin, Ann, George, Daniel, Mary Pierson.

  • Settled in Newark in 1666. Richard Harrison, father and son, from West Kirby, in Cheshire, were at New Haven 1664. Richard, sen. took oath of allegiance; rem. to Branford, and died Oct 1653.

  • < 1666 - Founding of Newark > A committee, which included Capatian Robert Treat, Samuel Swaine, Samuel Kitchell, Michael Tomkins, Mr. Morris, Sergt. Richard Beckly, Richard Harrison, Thomas Blatchley, Edward Riggs, Stephen Freeman and Thomas Johnson were charged with distribution of home lot (six acres) and to act on behalf of those who would come by June of the next year. Additional uplands east of the home lots and partition of the marsh or meadow were made in January 1669, with a further division of salt meadow in February 1670, and uplands in May 1673.
