About Sir Alexander Sharp, 5th Baronet of Scotscraig

Biographical Summary

"Sir Alexander Sharp, Baronet [S. 1683], br. and h. male, matric. at St. Leonard's Coll., 12 Feb. 1712; was a merchant at St. Andrews ; joined in the Jacobite rising of 1745 ; suc. to the Baronetcy on the death of his brother. He m. in or before 1728, Margaret Hamilton. He was living April 1769, but d. shortly afterwards, before 1771. His widow d. 11 Dec. 1783."
