Sir William Sharp, 4th Baronet of Scotscraig

Biographical Summary

"Sir William Sharp, Baronet [S. 1683], uncle and heir male, merchant at St. Andrews ; suc. to the Baronetcy on the death of his nephew. He m. firstly, in or before 1723, Ann More, by whom he had eight children. She was living Jan. 1731/2. He m. secondly, in 1734, Sophia, 1st da. of his maternal uncle, Sir Alexander Erskine, 2d Baronet [S. 1666], of Cambo, by Anne, da. of Alexander (Erskine), 3d Earl of Kellie [S.]. She was bur. 6 June 1735, at St. Andrews. He, who d. s.p.s., survived her, probably as late as until 1754."
