Sir George Browne, 4th Baronet

Biographical Summary

"George Browne, of the Neale, son and heir, succeeded his father about 1712, but never assumed the Baronetcy; was M.P. [I] for Castlebar, 1713-14. He married, in 1709, his cousin Bridget, daughter of Edward (Bermingham), Lord Athenry [I], by his 2nd wife, Bridget, daughter of Col. John Browne, of Westport, co Sligo, 2nd son of the 1st Baronet. He died s.p. 8 May 1737, at the Neale. His widow died 25 September 1747."
