Biographical Summary

"Sir George Ramsay, Baronet [S. 1666], of Bamff, br. and h., b. 10 March 1800, at Edinburgh ; ed. at Harrow and at Trin. Coll., Cambridge ; B.A., 1823 ; B.M., 1826 ; suc. to the Baronetcy, 1 Jan. 1859. He m. 9 Oct. 1830, at Paris, Emily Eugenia, da. of Henry Lennon, of Westmeath, Capt. 49th Foot. He d. at Bamff, 22 Feb. 1871, aged 71. His widow d. 28 Jan. 1885, aged 78, at Carlton Crescent, Southampton."
