About Sis. Mabel Helen Whishaw

Mabel Helen Whishaw was the daughter of John Henley Whishaw and Catherine Elizabeth Whishaw (Guthrie). She served in New Zealand, Home Service at Featherston Camp. Staff Nurse April 1918. Promoted to rank of Sister 12 April 1918. Three children enlisted and died; Mabel (22/371), and brothers Bernard Guthrie (WW1 11/1996) and Harry Guthrie (WW1 10/154). Bernard also died during the 1918 Influenza Pandemic, in Cairo on 17 October 1918.
