10. SOPHIE (-12 Mar 1176). The Notæ Genealogicæ Bavaricæ names (in order) "Dietpoldum et Sophiam de Pilensteine" as children of "Marchio Dietpoldus" & his third wife[197]. However, as Sophie was already widowed for the first time in 1155 it seems more chronologically probable that she was a daughter by her father's second marriage. The Annales Mellicenses record the death in 1177 of "Sophia comitissa de Pilstaeine"[198]. The necrology of Admont records the death "IV Id Mar" of "Sophye com Pilstein"[199].
