Biography

Stephen Pease was born in Edgartown (on the island of Martha's Vineyard), Dukes County, Massachusetts Bay Colony in about 1670. He was the son of James Pease and Elizabeth Norton. Stephen died in about 1728.

Stephen Pease; b. about 1670; d. about 1728 in Edgartown; m. about 1694 in Nantucket, MA, Mrs. Deborah (Gardner) Macey; d. Feb 02, 1712 in Nantucket, widow of John, daughter of Richard Gardner; b. in Salem, MA; d. Mar 23, 1688 and Sarah Shattuck. Stephen was a laborer in Edgartown, who removed to Nantucket about 1694, and later returned to Edgartown in 1723.
