• Stolpersteine were laid for Susanna Appel (née Ortweiler), her husband Jakob, and son Günter in 2008. The text in Wikipedia tells us: "Susanna (*1894) und Hildegard Ortweiler (*1900) waren die Töchter Albert und Lina Ortweilers. Susanna Appel wurde im September 1941 nach einer Hausdurchsuchung der Weimarer Gestapo, wegen ein paar Eiern, die sie als Jüdin nicht besitzen durfte, verhaftet und kurz darauf ins Arbeitserziehungslager Breitenau deportiert. Von dort transportierte man sie in das KZ Ravensbrück und später nach Auschwitz. Susanna Appel starb dort am 8.
