About Susanna Bullard
Biography
THIRD GENERATION
EBENEZER BULLARD (X), son of Joseph and Sarah Bullard, was born in Medfield, Massachusetts, October 13, 1685, and died there November 28, 1765. He married about 1710, Susanna Weston, daughter of John and Sarah (Fitch) Weston of Reading. (See Weston XIII.) She was bom June 18, 1686, in "the district of Cape Ann," and died in Medfield June 4, 1763. Ebenezer Bullard lived most of his life in the vicinity of Medfield, but very little is found on record there concerning him, and he doubtless lived at times in the nearby parishes. In 1742 he was admitted to full communion in the church, and in 1750 the town records show that he was given permission to build a small house on the town's land, but there is no subsequent record of his having done so. The date of his marriage and the birth dates of his first two children have not yet been found, and he was probably living in some other parish about this time. The names of his two eldest children and the maiden name of his wife were found in the manu- script records compiled by his grandson, Benjamin Bullard of New Haven, Ver- mont, and are now in the possession of Miss Mildred M. Bullard of New Haven, Vermont. A photostat copy of this very ancient and valuable manuscript has been made by the Burton Historical Collection of the Public Library, Detroit, Michigan, and will be available for reference. The children of Ebenezer and Susanna (Weston) Bullard are shown in family Bible records and in the vital records of Medfield, Massachusetts.
