Catherine and Pieter came to America in 1741. They lived 2 years in Pennsylvania, in either Berks or Lancaster Co., then in Frederick, Md for several years before going south with their possessions packed in covered wagons. They had 8 children: Jacob, Andrew, Katrina, Michael, Elizabeth, Mary, John and Sallie.
