Temperance's niece Sarah, daughter of Mark Hunking Jr connects us to the Wentworth family of governors. Sarah, 1st cousin of Mary Fernald Pray, married Lt. Gov. John Wentworth (1771-1729).
Gov. John & Sarah's eldest son, Benning Wentworth, was the 1st Royal Gov. of N.H. (1741- 1766). Benning was 2nd cousin to Hannah Pray Rand.
Gov. John Wentworth, nephew of Benning, was the 2nd & last Royal Gov. of N.H. (1767- 1775). John fled to England at the time of the Revolution. He was 2nd cousin-once-removed of Hannah Pray Rand.
