Tene Shriver was the daughter of Solomon Shriver and Margaret "Maggie" Tederick. She married Richard Wood on the 19th of March 1872 in Martinsburg, Berkeley County, West Virginia. They had 8 children.

Mrs. Tenie Wood
Mrs. Tenie A. Wood, widow of Richard Wood, died at 1:30 this morning at her home near Hedgesville, aged 83 years.

She is survived by three daughters and two sons: Mrs. Madison Lamp, of Cumberland, Md., Mrs. J. Eichelberger, North Mountain, Mrs. Valley Creek, Homer City, Pa., Harry at home, and Elzie, at Hedgesville. One brother and one sister also survive, Mrs. William Kidney of Cherry Run, and Joseph Shriver, of Baxter.

The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 from the Presbyterian Church at Tomahawk and interment will be made in the adjoining cemetery.
