About Thirza Lois King
ANDERSON, SC. Thirza Lois (Barker) King, age 88, wife of the late Elmer Leon King, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2011, at the Rainey Hospice House.
Born March 4, 1923, in Pine Level, FL, she was a daughter of the late Forest Cecil Barker and Daisy Elizabeth (Neel) Barker.
Mrs. King was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Iva as well as Truth Tabernacle in Starr.
Mrs. King is survived by her sons: Ernest Roy King of Mechanicsville, MD, and Wesley Earle King of Anderson, SC; nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Elmer Leon King; sons: Francis Dale King, Roger N. King, and Salty Hinton; brother, Cecil Barker; and sisters: Helen Blair and Dorothy Barker.
Funeral Services were held at 1pm on Thursday, December 15, 2011, in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home conducted by the Reverend Jerry Gray and the Reverend Hudson White.
Interment will follow in South Lawn Memorial Gardens.
