THOMAS BOWEN
who departed this Life July 17th AD 1774
in the 85th Year of his age.
He filled many of the most important offices
both civil and military with Reputation
but spent the principal part of his life
in the practice of Physick
He served his Generation with Faithfulness
and died lamented
by his Friends and numerous Progeny
possessed of a well grounded Hope
of a happy Immortality

HERE also rest the remains of
Mrs. SARAH BOWEN
Wife of him Col Thomas Bowen
She departed this Life on the 31st of Aug AD 1777
In the 87th Year of her age
She was a Pattern of Industry Virtue and true Piety
