JOHN McMILLAN, founder of Jefferson College. He was married to MISS JANE DOUGLAS, September 16, 1862. Six children were born to the couple: JAMES M. McMILLAN of Thedford, Neb.; JOHN A. He was a member of the Peter’s Creek United Presbyterian Church and had been active in the church until his failing strength in late years had made this impossible. He had made many friends.
