John Leigh's family history says that Thomas gave each of his sons a farm. He had 10 children and settled them so near to his place that he could visit them all in a day. Mrs. Lee was the furthest away at 11 miles. He was one of the founding members of the Congregational Church in Western in 1791 and remained a member until his death. His occupation was "husbandman".
It has been noted that the Johnson and Patrick families came to Massachusetts on the same ship.
