Thomas A. (Tom) Tacke, 71, a Seattle resident, died Monday, April 2, 2001, at his home in Seattle.
Tom lived in Grangeville and Cottonwood in his youth. Following high school, he served in the Korean War with the U.S. Marine Corps.
He traveled extensively throughout Europe and the United States.
He taught in the Seattle School District for 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, E.H. (Jack) and Merline Tacke and brothers Raymond, William and Jack Tacke.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; daughters Ann Parker and Catherine Walters; six granddaughters; brother Mark Tacke of Cottonwoodl and a sister, Sister Mary Paule of Transkei, South Africa.
Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in West Seattle, 4139 42nd Ave. S. W. Burial will follow at Tahoma National Cemetery.
