Also listed in the above "Soldiers of Florida..." is Valentine e. Andrews, mustered in 4/9/1865, under Bettery A, J. L. Dunkan's Light Artillery, page 34. His claim for pension #5964 is witnessed by James M. Rogers of wIMAUMA, fLORIDA, hILLSBOROUGH cOUNTY, WHO STATED THAT HE AND vALENTINE of K Company, 10th Florida Regiment were togetheer at the surrender at Appomatox. Julius T. Williams found a record that Also present at the surrender was James Jefferson Andrews, his brother and David McLeod, who was the father of James Arch Andrews' first wife, Margaret Diliah McLeod. He was also father of Martha Della McLeod, the wife of Joseph Franklin Andrews and T. P. McLeod who married Laura Andrews. James Arch Andrews was Julius' grandfather and Joe and Laura were some of his brothers and sisters. All were children of James Jefferson Andrews.
